Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana - Maharashtra government is bringing many types of schemes every day from time to time for the poor people of their state. One of these schemes is Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana 2020. This scheme is also called Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana 2020. Under the scheme, the Government and Social Welfare Department together provide Rs. 51 thousand per annum to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and New Bodh category (NP) students of the state for their studies.

What is Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana 2020


The government and Maharashtra Social Welfare Department have jointly launched a scholarship scheme for the students of SC, ST and NP sections of the state to help them financially, this scheme is called Swadhar Yojana. Under this scheme, the government provides an annual assistance of 51 thousand rupees for the remaining 10, 12 and later diplomas and for their other expenses like boding etc. If you have not yet applied for this scheme, you can apply by visiting its official website.


The aim of Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana


The main objective of this scheme is to make the future of poor students bright and to help the poor students financially. The State Government and Social Welfare Department are spending the amount given under this scheme.


Benefits of Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana


  • With the introduction of this scheme, a child of poor household can complete his studies so that his future is not spoiled.

  • The beneficiary will get financial assistance of 51 thousand rupees under the scheme.

  • This amount can be used by students for 10 V, 12 V and further studies and for boarding their accommodation.

  • Students of SC, ST and New Bodh category (NP) will get the benefit of Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana.

  • The government has made a separate provision under this scheme for those students who are physically weak or disabled or disabled.
